Looking For Alaska By: John Green Summary
Website created by Kiana Buddo

THEME 2: Forgiving yourself is sometimes all you can do
THEME 1: People change
People change is a theme that essentially makes the book what it is. For example, Miles left his life in Florida as a friendless, shy boy. First day at Culver Creeks Boarding School, Miles made three friends and started smoking. As the book goes on Miles gets a girlfreind, gets in trouble twice and pulls the ultimate juinor prank. Miles changed within the first day just after meeting three people. People change people.
In the last half of the book Alaska dies. Miles and Chip take it the hardest and soon decide to find out why and how she died. They noted everything she said that night, everything she did that week, and all the calls she took. Left with two possiblities: suicide or accident, they have no definite answer. Months after her death Miles and Chip, forgave themselves and her.
